Reading
Your child will need reading practice each night. Each week several paper books will be sent home for practice, in addition to a weekly main story. Below is a list of what we’re working on for the next couple of weeks. Please note, I will stick to the schedule as closely as possible, while allowing for flexibility/adjustments as needed.
The Houghton Mifflin Reading Guide link provides high-frequency words and skills learned for each theme. Use the high-frequency word list should your child lose his/her own list provided in class.
