CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT:

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS:

  1. Be attentive – Listen when the teacher is speaking; Follow directions the first time they are given.
  2. Follow all classroom and school procedures
  3. Show respect – Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself; Raise your hand to speak; Be kind and encourage each other.
  4. Come prepared and ready to learn

REWARDS FOR MAINTAINING EXPECTATIONS:

  1. Verbal praise
  2. Stickers, certificates, notes to parents
  3. Treasure chest treats
  4. Special activities or treats

CONSEQUENCES FOR NOT MAINTAINING EXPECTATIONS:

Students may lose privileges/rewards, or have their parent notified based upon the guidelines of our behavior management plan. Severe disruptions result in a visit to our principal’s office.

8:20 – 8:30   Students arrive, unpack

8:30 – 10:00  Reading Groups / Workstations / Restroom Breaks

10:00-10:15  Handwriting

10:15 – 11:15  Phonics/Whole Group Writing & Reading

11:15 – 11:30  Recess

11:30 – 12:00  Calendar Time

12:00 – 1:00  Prepare for Lunch / Lunch

1:00 – 1:45   Math

1:45 – 2:15  Special Area Classes

2:15-2:45  Social Studies or Science

2:45-3:00  Prepare to Go Home

3:00 – 3:15  Students are dismissed

Tuesday: Library 10:15-11:00

Wednesday: P.E. 1:45-2:15

Thursday: Computer Lab 1:15-1:45

Music 1:45-2:15

Friday: P.E. 1:45-2:15
